Our trip to SC was both relaxing and stressful, go figure. It's always great to spend time with friends and family, but we pay a high price for it...really Gabriel pays the most for it unfortunately. Let's just say riding in the car is not his bag, such a city boy. He's not used to being strapped in a car seat because we rarely drive anywhere, much less being strapped in for a total of 14 hours down and 14 hours back. Brutal. We did our best with toys, snacks, entertainment, breaks, etc. but it was still a pretty wretched experience all in all. Especially with the new baby coming soon, I don't know that we'll make it back down to SC in the next year or even longer! Good thing we got in a lot of quality time this time around, and it was particularly nice to be around for the July 4th holiday.
