We've replaced soccer with swimming for the summer! Gabriel is enrolled at the YMCA to take classes every Sunday morning after church...an activity Andy gets to participate in with him. This is a beginner class where they will learn to be comfortable down in the water, kick their arms and legs, blow bubbles and put their face in the water, and jump into the water from the side of the pool. We were glad that Gabriel got some exposure to a pool down in SC so it wasn't such a new experience for him. He has always been pretty contemplative with new experiences and environments, so we figured he would need to adjust to being in an indoor pool. And he did, but he did great. He participated in all of the learning activities and we're hopeful he will gain confidence as the class progresses!
