Our last two days in Charleston were just about the same as our first few...beach, pool, dinner :). We got a head start on the beach Wednesday in case the thunderstorms decided to pay another visit. We were on the beach at 9:30am! We stayed until just before 1pm when G needed some lunch and a nap! That day's beach trip featured bubbles! Gabriel has played with bubbles before, but mostly he just watches Andy and me...this time he took the bull by the horns and dipped his own stick and actually figured out how to blow through the wand. He spent a lot of time with bubbles today. He also fearlessly walked into the water, learned to shoo the seagulls away (this was hilarious!), ate his fair share of sand while trying to snack on some goldfish, and played the part of G-zilla knocking down Andy's sand creations. After lunch and nap time, we hit up the pool again. We had decided to go out to dinner that night, so everyone got ready and we headed to Shem Creek to eat at Red's. Gabriel tried fish and shrimp for the first time.
Thursday was more of the same...we headed to the beach in the morning, but this time we ate lunch at the beach, Gabriel even took a nap in his little tent, plus my cousin Whitney joined us for the day. Overall we were lazy beach bums and loved it. The last night we did venture to downtown Charleston to walk around, but other than that we vegg'ed. We made the long trek back to NYC via Irmo and Harrisburg, PA (to pick up the pups). We got back in Friday night around 9:30pm. We had a very fun time with Aunt Steph at the beach, but we are looking forward to having the next four weeks at home. Enjoy the final pics of our trip!
