Wow, everyone said that time really flies when you have a baby, and I certainly did not doubt that, but it seems with each passing month it accelerates more and more. I suppose this is because we find ourselves busier and busier the more active Gabriel becomes. Whew. We are just loving this little boy, and have really been enjoying him even more now that Andy is off for the summer and the three of us can spend entire days running, and going to the parks and zoos, toodling around the city, taking vacations, etc. Gabriel has added 'play' and 'water' to his baby signs since the 13 month post, and is getting better at mimicking a word on the spur of the moment (where as before he seemed to need to hear it a lot and contemplate before regurgitating). For example, we bought a new childrens sing a long CD and he started repeating some of the easy words/syllables almost immediately, like "ya-ya-ya-ya" and "what". He also has added 'no' into his vocab, but it comes out like 'naw' so I think it's cute...for now. Also, the other day Andy was being silly and said the word ding-dong and Gabriel immediately started repeated 'DONG!' with gusto. Ha! Anyway, here are a few pics from his 14-month day, but basically we were just chasing him around with the camera.
