Andy and I have been diligently working on his new running website, www.runandy.com, for about the past two weeks. While I am certainly no webmaster, we feel it is coming along quite nicely thus far. The idea for the website and the purpose we hope it will serve is three-tiered:
1 - create an outlet for Andy to log/track/update his training & results
2 - provide a central location for family/friends/running community to view and follow Andy's running
3 - serve as a platform for raising money for underprivileged kids who want to pursue running
Andy also has a blog which details his daily running; an online running journal really (this is runandy.blogspot.com). We have linked the two sites for ease of viewing/following, and also have links to each site off of our blog. Please visit the site and take a look around...
As the webpage is still in development, we welcome any and all feedback. In particular we would love some feedback on the Pennies for Miles program. While in its infancy, we believe it could have great potential for a positive impact. We have created a web poll as one way to receive feedback, and also have a contact submission form for more of a free response...or just to send Andy and message or word of encouragement!
The website also details Andy's training schedule, features a guest book and count down clocks, and has a page where we will be posting race results and archiving past race results. Read Andy's bio to find out more about his running history, and you can also follow Andy on Facebook and Twitter where he posts daily updates about his running for that day.
If anyone would like to add a RunAndy link to their website, we welcome these opportunities...the more traffic we can get to the site, the more potential for the success of Pennies for Miles! Run Andy Run!
