We've really enjoyed introducing new toys to Gabriel as he becomes increasingly more aware of them. Previously we had been entertaining him with finger puppets and rattles, but this weekend we decided to try and make it more interactive for him. Without an abundance of room in our apartment, we haven't invested in any play mats or the like for him, so being the nerdy (and slightly ghetto) engineers that we are, we strung up four finger puppets on his bassinet for him to watch and play with. Big Bird and Oscar are bungee jumping, and the monkey and giraffe are skydiving (see below):
Rest assured we are going to make this more infant friendly by attaching the puppets with fabric, not string (again ghetto), but this was our quick fix for the weekend. He really enjoyed watching the animals swing, especially when he was the one that sent them flying. Sweet.
