8 Months

Happy 8 months to Judah! Today is a very hectic day, as it is MOVING DAY, AH! Obviously we did not get to spend a lot of quality time doting on Judah amid all the packing and moving. We spent the morning getting a lot of our stuff into the moving truck, and then the boys and I moved to our friend's apartment, the Beckers, where we will stay while Andy finishes loading the moving truck and driving across the country to get us settled in Denver.

A few words about Mr. Judah: he is pretty much into full crawling mode (it's not an up-on-all-fours crawl, but he can get himself across a room in no time!). He has started pulling up on things a little, and is still pretty wobbly, but full blown mobility is just around the corner.

He has become quite the little (or big I should say) eater. He gobbles up baby food and has even started eating a bit of whatever we are having, all mushed up of course. I hope his big appetite remains. He's weighing in at about 16.5 pounds these days and getting chunkier. With as much milk and food that he consumes however, I am surprised he is not chunkier ... I keep thinking back to what his pediatrician said "he's got his daddy's metabolism".

Judah continues to be a fairly laid back baby, and now is sporting FIVE teeth (2 on top and 3 on bottom). He regularly utlizies his one word vocabulary (dada) which suits me just fine, ha! We started baby signs with him last month, and of course have not seen any indication that he will begin signing (it will probably be a good 3-4 months of one-sided signing before he can express himself). So far we have introduced: milk, eat, finished and more.

He sleeps through the night like a champ, and has recently cut out his 10-11pm feeding, so most nights we put him down about the same time as Gabriel, 7:30pm, and he will sleep until at least 6am the next morning. He is also still napping 2-3 times per day. Here are a few recent shots of our closer-to-a-one-year-old-than-a-baby-ah!
