Merry Christmas, everyone! We certainly had a wonderful Christmas as a new family of four :). Judah must have been really excited because he decided to stay up most of the night, oy, but we managed to muster plenty of energy early Christmas morning for Gabriel!
I wondered if G would remember first thing in the morning that it was Christmas, a thought that Andy laughed at, and to his credit the first thing Gabriel asked when he awoke was "is it time to open my presents?". I think it was around 6am, but I was a little foggy from the aforementioned night with J... thankfully he had gone back to sleep so we could really engage Gabriel with Christmas :). He was so sweet opening his gifts, opening each carefully and thoughtfully, then taking the time to play with whatever he had just opened before moving to the next gift. In fact, we had to keep reminding him that he had more gifts to open! He has such a tender heart. After opening everything, totally unbidden he said "thank you for all my presents!!". He also made sure to wish baby Jesus a happy birthday :). As if on cue, Judah woke up for another feeding and Gabriel helped him open his presents too. It was a really sweet time with our little family.
Most of Gabriel's gifts had something to do with race cars and trucks, but he also got a few movies, some clothes, trains, and candy. He literally spent the entire day playing with ALL of his new toys. It was so fun to watch him. We went over to a friend's house for Christmas lunch and enjoyed some relaxing time and great food.
