Christmas!! Again, we are low key for this Christmas season as we were for Thanksgiving ... so if you will remember the ridiculous fiasco of last year's Christmas tree excursion, you will be delighted to know that this year I threw aside all of my nostalgic resolve and decided that a Christmas tree from the friendly Canadians on the corner of W. 90th St and Columbus Avenue was more than enough Christmas cheer for this new family of four. We happily paid $50 for our little 5 foot tree and headed home for some hot cocoa and tree trimming! Naturally Judah slept through the entire thing, but Andy and Gabriel decked the halls, and had our decorating complete in about an hour or so ... works for me!
Gabriel is much more excited about Christmas this year ... he really "gets it". It is so fun to watch the season unravel through his eyes. I am already anticipating the rest of the season ... and I'm quite curious as to how he will perceive advent this year. On that note, may we all wait in anticipation ...
