Also, here is an updated ultrasound shot from the anatomy scan where we found out we’re having a boy (19 weeks 2 days). He is 10 inches long and weighs 10 ounces:

On that note, we’d like to make a quick request to ask that everyone pray for our little boy as part of the results of the anatomy scan showed that he has an echogenic focus in one of the chambers of his heart, which is essentially a calcium deposit that causes a bright spot on the ultrasound. It is considered one of the markers for Down Syndrome when combined with other chromosomal abnormality markers, but isolated is often completely benign. There is a slightly (very slight) increased risk of Downs with this “problem”, but since all of my genetic bloodwork came back negative for chromosomal abnormalities, our boy should be completely fine. Otherwise, everything else is progressing well and Andy and I are counting down the next 20 weeks!

Your growing belly is so very cute, and very tiny! :) And we will definitely be praying that Baby Goodwin comes out strong and healthy!
