We took the boys to their very first baseball game! SO fun. SO. We have some friends that are braves fans, so we decided to go to the Mets/Braves game together (opening weekend). It was a beautiful, sunny day, but quite windy :/ ... in fact as soon as we got up to our seats we thought we were going to have to turn around and leave it was so windy. But, we persevered and once the sun came up over the back of the stadium and hit our seats, it was much better.
Our friends have an 11 month old, so we were "that" group of people with two wiggly kids and a nursing baby :). I have to say that nursing Judah while crammed in a baseball stadium, wind whipping and all, was one of the most difficult attempts to date, but I was up for it and seeing Gabriel enjoy the game with Andy was just priceless. We went into the game with literally zero expectations, so when we made it to the fourth inning, we were both quite pleased. Gabriel seemed to really enjoy all of the new things he experienced at the game (indicating later that watching the players hit the ball was his favorite part) and we're excited to take him again to another game when the weather is warmer!
Overall, a really great family day ... Go Mets!
PS - Mets won, 4-2 :)
