We had a great Easter this year. The weather was beautiful, which afforded us the right to walk to Easter service instead of being at the mercy of MTA. After a great service and mingling with friends for a bit, we headed home to get ready for our picnic lunch in the park. It was a perfect day for our first picnic of the year, complete with Easter cupcakes (which, yes, we let Gabriel have one). We also let Gabriel bring along his Easter eggs to dig into, which we filled with dried pineapple and yogurt covered raisins and pretzels. I know, I know, what a hippie thing to give your kid for Easter instead of candy...but truly he loves these things (from the bulk bins at Whole Foods). Yea, yea, we're so granola.
