Snow Week!

New York got so much snow over Christmas weekend that we have been playing in it all week! Even 5 days after the blizzard, Central Park still looks like the North Pole! It.is.awesome. Gabriel did experience the snow storms we had last winter, but I'm quite sure he did not retain a memory of them!

This year we have been building little snowmen, digging in the snow with a shovel and bucket set meant for the beach, and doing a bit of sledding....although G only went down the hill once with Andy. He was laughing and smiling the whole way down but when we asked if he wanted to go again, he said "no no". Oh well :) Good thing we had just borrowed a sled and didn't buy one!

The funniest thing was when Gabriel started eating the snow "bricks" Andy and I piled around him...good thing we found a nice untouched spot of deep snow to play in, ha! He also has enjoyed showing us how well he can walk along the snow paths formed by foot traffic all by himself, like when we went hiking. He "hiked" all around the park, even up and down small hills, in his clunky snow boots for quite a while. Enjoy the show!
