Andy Ranked 41st Among American Men in NYC Marathon!!

As many of you know, Andy embarked on the 39th annual ING New York City Marathon last weekend. Nearly 40,000 runners took the streets of New York City, running through Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan. 26.2 miles is grueling enough in and of itself, but add 20 mph gale forces winds and temperatures in the 30's and 40's, and you've got yourself one tough race. So how did Andy fare? Well, running a PR of 2:39, not bad at all. In fact out of the 40,000 runners from across the world, he placed 120th overall, 108th among all men, and yes 41st out of American men. The ING NYC Marathon is considered one of the top 5 marathons in the world and always draws elite talent and tough competition, so we are very excited at how well Andy performed. Dropping below 2:40, he is now in the territory of sub-elite competitors. Nine more minutes to go, and he will be competing with the world's top elite runners who cover the 26.2 in less than 2 1/2 hours! I'm sure Andy will be entering his own blog about his experience, so please check back to hear the latest! Congratulations Andy!!

That's sooo impressive...it still blows my mind that people can run that far...especially in that amount of time! I thought about you guys the other day when there were a lot of NYC marathon runners on Regis & Kelly! Congrats, Andy!
