Seven was sweet, and I think eight will be great! Gabriel has grown so much in the last year, I can't believe we're at another birthday. Gabriel is doing beautifully in 2nd grade, and he has really gotten serious about sports! We've always been a sports family, following certain teams or players, letting the boys try different sports, etc, but this past year Gabriel really has gotten more serious about following sports and understanding the games, he wants to play sports in the park every single chance we have. I love this about him! Mom, let's go the the park, let's go play baseball, can we go play basketball? And he always includes Judah in what ever game we end up playing. There are some days we spend hours and hours in the park. It is awesome!
Gabriel has an undeniable zest for life, always full of energy, ideas, and questions. He is fiercely loyal, loves Judah and Judah looks up to him so much, and he is incredibly imaginative. He still has a smile that lights up his whole face, an attribute he has had since he was very young. It's so cool to watch him grow and develop in new ways, while also seeing parts of him that have been present since he was a baby.
My prayer for Gabriel each and every night is that he would know the fullness of the length and the width and the depth and the breadth of the love of Jesus Christ for him, that he would let his light so shine before men that they may see his good works and glorify our Father in heaven, and that the Lord would give us the wisdom to train him up in the way he should go so that when he is old he will not depart from it. I pray that Gabriel would always love and honor and cherish Judah as his brother and his friend. May God bless you and keep you, my sweet angel Gabriel!
Happy birthday my sweet son, the little boy who made me a mother, the boy who challenges me every day and helps me be a better person, who teaches me lessons and loves me unconditionally. I am blessed to be your mom, Gabriel, you are fearfully and wonderfully made!
