Today is Gabriel's "real" birthday, so even though we celebrated all last weekend with his party, we still wanted to make sure he felt special today. We saved back a few small gifts for him to open when we woke up. And Aunt Steph brought him a Krispy Kreme glazed donut for his birthday breakfast, yum!
We spent the morning at home, but then went to our weekly moms group where all of his buddies and teachers sang happy birthday to him, and all of my friends wished him happy birthday. Next, stop: going to work with Daddy (this is one of his favorite things to do and all of the teachers and kids go gaga over him). They had a little mini party for him at school with a mini birthday cake and snacks, and a few of Andy's kids even gave him some birthday money. We had also given him some birthday money (5 $1 bills in his birthday card), so we took him to the Toys R Us in Times Square to buy something with his money ... he chose a cars set of course :). While we were down there, we also took him to M&M World (these are his fave candy) and he had a ball looking at all of the M&M stuff, and of course picking out some M&M candies to take home!
We headed home, after a long, full day of celebrating, for some birthday dinner and storytime. It was a really great day celebrating this sweet, sweet boy! We love you, Gabriel!!
