Easter came early this year, and I kind of sneaked up on me! Typically we have activities throughout Holy Week, and an Easter brunch and egg hunt with friends, and Easter services. This year felt a little abbreviated, but celebrated nonetheless. We did resurrection eggs for the boys where each day they opened an egg that had an item that symbolized something that happened the week leading up to Jesus' death and resurrection. Of course we dyed Easter eggs! And I had an egg coloring craft too. We attended Good Friday services as always, which the boys are reluctant to attend, but hopefully with time they will understand the gravity of why/how we celebrate this day. On Saturday, we ended up just doing a quick egg hunt in the park with our friends this year instead of a full brunch and family time, which we missed, but this is a busy season for everyone. We attended the early Easter service Sunday morning, and had an impromptu after-church brunch at our apartment with a few friends.
