This year, after Gabriel and Judah decided on Captain America and Batman, respectively, Andy and I decided to dress up as super heroes. Thing is, we weren't planning to purchase costumes, and when a friend of mine offered her Iron Man costumes that made it easy ... except the female Iron Man (Ironette?) was really just slutty Iron Man :(. Not to be deterred, I put some layers on underneath the costume and went with it (also later I added a layer ON TOP of it ... seriously, this thing left much to be desired).
Anyway, since we are in a new neighborhood this year we thought it would be fun to explore the brownstone streets. Turns out Halloween is not such a big deal in this area, so we headed to 95th street, which has a great block association and one of Gabriel's friends live on that block. We met up with a few families and trick-or-treated our hearts out.
We headed home in time to hand out candy in our building (you sign up for a time slot so people know when to visit). Being new to the building, we didn't know how many people to expect, so we bought several bags of candy. The boys were so excited to answer the door and give out candy. Too bad we only go a whopping two trick or treaters. Oh well, it was fun anyway!
