Four Months

Happy four months to Judah! (well, last week anyway) Judah is doing really well, sleeping like a champ and is oh so observant. He is so laid back, in fact, that when we went to his four month appointment this morning the doctor was surprised that his stats were lower than at his 2 month appointment, but he was clearly so happy. Judah isn't one of those babies that loves to eat, in fact sometimes I have to make him nurse. Well, his stats are reflective of that behavior:

Weight: 13# 1 oz. (15%)
Length: 24 1/2" (37%)
Head Circ: 42.6 cm (52%)

So the doctor is not overly concerned, but does want him back in a month for a weight check to make sure he is consistent ... her sentiment, if in fact he stays in the same range, is that this is in fact his baseline and his previous measurements may have been inflated due to the fact that we were supplementing with formula (which we found out really hurts his tummy, so we took him off of it ... she said he may very well have a milk sensitivity or even allergy).

Judah is more and more attentive and working hard on sitting unassisted for moments at a time, he grasps everything he can get his little fists around and regularly bats at toys and reaches for toys. He does not tolerate tummy time very well, but when placed on his belly at the doctor's he scrunched his legs up under his belly and tried to scoot forward! The doctor was taken aback that this little four month old was on the move and commented, even if jokingly, that he might crawl before he sits up. Silly Judah! He rarely cries and is really just a joyful, content baby ... such a difference from colicky Gabriel! Now if we can just fatten him up a bit, he will be all good!

I took some four month pics, but they are on our other computer, so I will have update this post later :)

UPDATE:

Oh yea, and I forgot to mention before that Judah also is infatuated with his feet ... he has not put them in his mouth yet, but he gazes at them regularly. He also rolls from belly to back more, and therefore wakes up cooing instead of fussing to be picked up. He can usually be found laying on his back playing with his hands and "talking" until we come get him.
